What a tremendous evening our Black & White Extravaganza sponsored by TiER1 Performance Solutions was! Three hundred guests gathered for an elegant evening at The Oscar Event Center on April 21st to help MTCES raise over $125,000 for its students. They had the opportunity to bid on highly desirable live auction items including Florida vacations, a whitewater rafting trip, private group dinners at Jag's & Cozy's, and exciting sporting events. Congrats to the Healy family for winning the adorable Tonapoo puppy and Dr. Hickman of Hickman Orthodontics for winning a 6-night stay in a Greek villa.

The silent auction auction also delivered, raising over $30,000. Guests took advantage of convenient smartphone bidding to place bids on autographed sports memorabilia, spa packages, jewelry, special event tickets, home electronics, and numerous baskets of sought after goodies.

The raffles did not disappoint! Special thanks to Yelton Fine Jewelers for sponsoring the Yelton Balloon Pop, making the Tran family the proud winners of diamond earrings. Thank you to the Blanchard Family, winners of the annual tuition raffle, for donating half of their winnings back to the school. Guests waited anxiously for the reveal of our first ever Mystery Basket--tickets to the upcoming Def Leppard and Journey concert.

One of the evening's highlights was the presentation of the Volunteer of the Year Award, which went to two winners this year--Tony Reed and Christine Hiernaux. Tony's daughter and MTCES alum, Mindy, was in attendance to help present the award. Mindy also assisted with the Paddle Raise Mission Moment appeal. Guests raised their paddles and donated $21,600 to our needs based tuition assistance fund.

Generous sponsors TiER1 and Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT), hosted honored guest tables of founding families, past Board members, alumni, and new families. Thank you for helping us to welcome these special individuals to the school's largest annual event!

The addition of a professional auctioneer to keep our live auction efficient and on schedule, allowed us to open the dance floor early! Guests enjoyed the extra time to socialize and catch up with friends.

MTCES sends abundant gratitude to event co-chairs and MTCES parents Heather Kuth and Eleanor Holding for leading an army of volunteers in planning one of our most successful events!

SAVE THE DATE: We look forward to seeing you at Extravaganza 2019 on March 23rd at The Oscar Event Center, just one of many exciting events on the calendar for the school's 20th anniversary year!
