In addition to weekly music classes, MTCES offers a variety of after school activities to promote student involvement in the performing arts.

MTCES offers these performing arts ensembles:

Music Ministry- Mrs. Zinck, Tuesdays, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

This is our school's Mass Choir, and it is open to students in grades 4-8. This service group leads worship songs during school liturgies. Vocalists and instrumentalists are welcome. Adults are also welcome. With permission and advanced planning, flexible scheduling of participation can be accommodated.

Band- Mr. Bailey and Mrs. Zinck, Thursdays, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Beginning in fourth grade, students have the opportunity to participate in band. As part of the program, students must take private lessons on their instrument of choice with a qualified instructor. Music and parts are often original compositions or custom arrangements to challenge each student at the appropriate level.

MTCES Choir- Mrs. Zinck, Fridays, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

This is our school's elementary choir. It is open to students in grades 2-8. This vocal ensemble focuses on learning good singing techniques and strong part work (typically 2 or 3 part arrangements). There are two sessions for this group: one that starts at the beginning of the school year and runs through Christmas, and one that starts after Christmas break and runs through the Spring Arts Festival in May. Students may join either one or both.

To join any MTCES ensemble, it is required that students and parents read and agree to the Ensemble Membership Agreement.

To register for Music Ministry, Band, or Choir, please fill the Ensemble Registration Form.
