After graduating from Ursuline College near Cleveland, Lauren taught math to grades 6-8 at St. Anslem School in Chesterland, OH for five years before starting her family. In 2005, she relocated to Cleveland as a result of her husband, Mike's, job. After her children Matthew, MTCES class of 2014, and Ryan, class of 2017, entered school full time, she returned to teaching as the junior high teacher at MTCES where she has worked for eight years.

Lauren completed her Masters degree in elementary mathematics education at Miami University. She has presented at the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics annual conference and created an iBook to coincide with Algebra 1 curriculum.
