Kyle Wirthwine joins MTCES in 2019 for his first year teaching, but his sixteenth overall. Having lived in Cincinnati for most of his life, he graduated from the College of Mount Saint Joseph (now University) after having played four years of collegiate football and graduated with biology and history degrees with a concentration in teaching. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he worked with F 16 fighter squadrons. After leaving active duty, he returned to Cincinnati and began teaching at The Summit Country Day School where he taught and coached for nine years. Then, God called Kyle to teach at a Franciscan school, St. Francis Seraph School, where he became the lead S.T.E.M. teacher, began the liturgical server program, and was trained and certified in several specialized education programs. He is married to his wife Tricia and father to three: Quinn, Ellie, and Chloe. In his free time, Kyle likes to coach high school football, hike, and take care of his many farm animals, including chickens.
